Reflecting on Previous Gatherings

”Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

Calling Men to Pray first started in October of 2022. Being concerned about the direction our culture was heading, we joined together in McCulloch Park in Muncie, IN, to pray for our community. Collectively we prayed for our families, our churches, our youth, our schools, those suffering with mental illness, those living in poverty, for racial reconciliation, and to end violence.

2023

The following year, we once again met on the first Saturday in October for a focused time of prayer, worship, fellowship, and good eats. A diverse group of 113 men representing 44 different churches registered to attend, as well as many more who were not registered. It was a fantastic time of prayer and worship in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

2024

We have since grown out of McCulloch Park, and thanks to Assistant Principal Justin Oliver, we have moved into Muncie Central High School. We are now able to hold the event each year regardless of weather, as well as have a more accessible venue for those with mobility issues. We look forward to continued growth and worship for many years to come.

We are grateful for the leadership of our Emcees Pastor Frank Scott, Sr., and Pastor Chase Radford as they guided us through the morning. We are also grateful for Pastor Larry McCoy and Pastor Rich Taylor for sharing the Gospel, for the FCA Saturday Night Jam Band members whose music created a spirit-filled atmosphere for prayer and worship, and for the 16 men who spoke from the platform.
