Calling Men to Pray

“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Calling Men to Pray is a FREE, annual gathering organized by Men Leading Men Ministry where men of faith unite to lift our community in prayer. Concerned about the direction of our culture, several men from different denominations in East Central Indiana came together in 2022 to create this annual event.

Each year, participants focus prayer on eight key areas:

  • Our families
  • Our youth
  • Racial reconciliation
  • The homeless & those living in poverty
  • Our churches
  • Our schools
  • Ending violence
  • Those suffering with mental illness

The goal does not end with the event. Men are encouraged to continue meeting regularly with others in their churches to pray, join with men’s groups from other congregations, organize neighborhood prayer walks, and serve their communities through projects and fellowship. A dedicated Facebook group, which we invite you to join, also provides a way to stay connected throughout the year.

Calling Men to Pray is a non-denominational event, open to all men. We invite you to join us in seeking God together at this year’s event.

Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I with them.

We're looking to grow outside of Delaware County

We believe prayer can unite men not only in Delaware County, but across our region. We are seeking to partner with churches and men’s groups in Blackford, Grant, Henry, Jay, Madison, and Randolph counties to begin their own Calling Men to Pray gatherings.

If you are part of a church or men’s group, we encourage you to start conversations with other men of faith in your community about coming together in prayer each year. Our team is ready to share resources, offer guidance, and support you as you get started.
